Avelo Airlines Unaccompanied Minor Policies

Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Avelo, especially when it comes to your young ones. Here’s what you need to know about the Avelo Airlines unaccompanied minor policy.

How young can a child be to fly alone?

If your child is fifteen (15) years or older, they can fly solo on Avelo Airlines flights.

Children fourteen (14) years or younger must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or a Customer that is fifteen (15) years of age or older.

How to book unaccompanied minor flights?

All children must have a reservation to fly on Avelo Airlines. To book a reservation for a child they must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or Customer that is fifteen (15) years of age or older. Visit AveloAir.com to book a reservation or by using the Avelo Airlines app.

If booking a flight for an unaccompanied minor traveler fifteen (15) years of age or older, be sure that they can confidently navigate the airports, and follow all Crewmember instructions.

If you have concerns, we strongly recommend minors fly with a parent or guardian.

What information is needed for my child to fly alone?

Please provide a government-issued ID, or passport to confirm that the Customer is fifteen (15) years-old or older.

What should we do at check-in?
