Traveling with Lithium Batteries and Portable Chargers

To reduce the risk of overheating or fire, portable chargers must remain visible and should not be placed in bags or overhead bins while charging.

As a reminder, the following items are not permitted in checked bags and must be packed in your carry-on: Portable electronic devices containing lithium-ion or lithium metal batteries such as laptops, cell/smart phones, electronic cigarettes, tablets, hand-held games, camcorders, watches, calculators, spare lithium batteries, etc. Additionally, Mexico prohibits the following items in checked or carry-on baggage: electronic cigars/cigarettes, vaporizing devices, and liquids or solutions used in these items.
