Avelo Airlines Pet Policy

Avelo Airlines is a pet-friendly airline, and we welcome four-legged friends on board. We do have a few rules and regulations regarding traveling with pets, so please make sure to review our pet policies for flying with pets before booking your flight.

Does Avelo Airlines allow pets?

Avelo Airlines allows small cats, dogs, rabbits, and birds to travel in-cabin. Your pet must be able to fit comfortably in a hard-sided or soft-sided container that can be stowed under the seat in front of you.

What are the types of pet carriers allowed on Avelo Airlines?

We allow for two types of containers – hard-sided and soft-sided. Hard-sided containers can be no larger than 14″ x 9″ x 9.5″, and soft-sided containers must be able to fit in the same space. We find that this allows for optimal storage while helping to keep everyone safe by preventing things from taking up too much space.

Does my pet need a reservation?

Space is limited for pets, so we recommend making a reservation in advance. You can do this by purchasing the pet add-on during your booking process or by calling our Customer Support Center at (346) 616-9500. Avelo Airlines allows up to eight (8) pet carriers per scheduled flight but there are circumstances where fewer than eight (8) pets are allowed. Customers are limited to no more than one (1) pet carrier per person. Each pet carrier can have no more than two (2) small cats, dogs, rabbits, or birds.
