Avelo Airlines Announces Nonstop Service to Washington, D.C.’s Dulles International Airport

NEW HAVEN, Conn.; May 21, 2024 – Avelo Airlines announced today it will introduce nonstop service this summer between Southern Connecticut’s most convenient airport – Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) – and Washington, D.C.’s Dulles International Airport (IAD). Avelo is the only airline offering nonstop service between Southern Connecticut and Washington, D.C.

Beginning July 12, 2024, Avelo will operate this route twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, utilizing Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. Introductory one-way fares between IAD and HVN start at $46*. Travelers can make reservations at AveloAir.com.

The airline made the announcement at Airports Council International’s JumpStart® Air Service Development Conference, hosted by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and IAD. JumpStart® is one of the largest air service conferences with more than 400 airports and airlines in attendance. This conference hosts educational sessions, followed by two days of airport-airline meetings.
