Avelo Airlines Announces Two New Florida Destinations from Tweed Airport: Daytona Beach and Melbourne

NEW HAVEN, Conn.; April 6, 2023 — Avelo Airlines today announced it is expanding service from Southern Connecticut’s most convenient airport — Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) — to two new nonstop Florida destinations: Daytona Beach and Melbourne. Avelo now serves eight Florida destinations from Tweed.

Avelo will be the only airline offering nonstop flights between Connecticut and these two cities. With the addition of these new routes, Avelo will serve 17 nonstop destinations from Tweed, offering more nonstop routes from Connecticut than any other airline operating in the state.

Avelo will begin exclusive twice-weekly service to Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) starting June 21 on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and to Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) starting June 22 on Thursdays and Sundays.
