Avelo Airlines Doubles Down on Collin County — Adding Four New Nonstop Destinations and a Third Aircraft at McKinney National Airport

MCKINNEY, Texas; Sept. 24, 2026 — Avelo Airlines today announced four new nonstop routes and a third based aircraft at McKinney National Airport (DTX), increasing the airline’s Collin County hometown network to nine destinations. Beginning Dec. 16, Avelo will fly from DTX to Denver (DEN) and Atlanta (ATL), followed on Dec. 17 by New Orleans (MSY) and Nashville, Tennessee (BNA).

The new routes join Avelo’s inaugural DTX service, which begins on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, with nonstop flights to Las Vegas (LAS) and four Florida cities: Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Fort Myers (RSW), Orlando (MCO) and Tampa (TPA).

With today’s announcement, Avelo will base a third 184-seat Boeing Next-Generation 737-800 at DTX. With the additional aircraft, Avelo’s investment will create approximately 150 jobs with the Texas-based airline.
