Avelo Airlines Takes Flight to West Palm Beach from Wilmington International Airport

WILMINGTON, N.C.; Nov. 20, 2025 — Avelo Airlines today takes flight to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) from Wilmington International Airport (ILM). Avelo is the only airline offering nonstop service between ILM and West Palm Beach.

Avelo operates this route to PBI with twice weekly service on Thursdays and Sundays using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. This exclusive route expands Avelo’s affordable, convenient and industry-leading reliable air service introduced to Wilmington and the Island Beaches in June 2022. Next month Avelo will start Wilmington’s first international route to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic just in time for the holidays and a winter getaway.

Avelo established ILM as a Crewmember base and base of operations on April 3, 2025, and currently has two Boeing Next-Generation 737s based at the airport.
