AveloFlex®

AveloFlex® offers peace of mind and cost savings in case your travel plans change. With AveloFlex®, you can make a change or cancel your flight up to 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure without penalty or fee. Canceled reservations will receive Avelo Cash that can be redeemed toward a future Avelo flight. See below for more details about AveloFlex®.

Is AveloFlex® refundable?

All reservations are non-refundable.* If you choose to cancel your AveloFlex® reservation, you will receive Avelo Cash for your entire reservation amount, less the AveloFlex® fee.

*Unless canceled within 24 hours of purchase and at least 7 days (168 hours) prior to the scheduled departure, or as required by applicable laws and regulations. In these cases, amount refunded will be inclusive of the AveloFlex® fee.

Reservations booked prior to 3/6/25

AveloFlex® was available for reservations booked on/after 3/6/25. For reservations booked prior to 3/6/25, flights may be changed or canceled up to 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure without penalty or fee.

How much are change/cancel fees without AveloFlex®?

Change and cancel fees are determined based on the tables below. Fees only apply to flights without AveloFlex® or on those where AveloFlex® has already been used. Note: If the departing and returning flights fall into different “days from departure” ranges, each flight will be subject to its respective fee.

For reservations booked between 3/6/25 and 1/29/26 without AveloFlex®, the following fees will apply:

Greater than 60 days No fee
Between 8 and 60 days 25%
Between 24 hours and 7 days 50%
Between 15 minutes and 24 hours 75%
No changes or cancels are permitted within 15 minutes of departure.

For reservations booked on/after 1/30/26 without AveloFlex®, the following fees will apply:

Days from departure Change/cancel fee
(as % of total reservation value)
Greater than 60 days 10%
Between 8 and 60 days 50%
Between 24 hours and 7 days 75%
Between 15 minutes and 24 hours 90%
No changes or cancels are permitted within 15 minutes of departure.

For reservations booked prior to 3/6/25, flights may be changed or canceled up to 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure without penalty or fee.

How can I purchase AveloFlex® for my reservation?

AveloFlex® can only be purchased during your initial booking on our website at aveloair.com or when booking through the Avelo mobile app. You will see the AveloFlex® option on the payment step before entering your payment information.

Can I purchase AveloFlex® for only some travelers on my reservation?

No, AveloFlex® must be purchased for all travelers and all flights on the reservation.

Can I add AveloFlex® to my existing reservation?

No, AveloFlex® can only be purchased during your initial booking.

Can I add a traveler to my AveloFlex® reservation?

No, additional travelers cannot be added to existing AveloFlex® reservations.

How many changes can I make to my reservation with AveloFlex®?

AveloFlex® can be used once per flight. After AveloFlex® has been used, any additional changes or cancellations will be subject to change and cancel fees.

If I purchase AveloFlex®, will any difference in airfare be waived?

No, if you change your flight, you will be responsible for the difference in airfare and changes in optional services.

How close to departure can changes or cancellations be made?

You can change or cancel your flight up until 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
