Dubuque Travel Disruption

We have very important information regarding flights from and to Dubuque Regional Airport (DBQ) beginning Saturday, January 14th.

Avelo’s flight from DBQ to Orlando will depart from Cedar Rapids’ Eastern Iowa Airport (CID). The flight will now depart CID at 5:50 p.m. and arrive in Orlando at 9:35 p.m. Avelo’s flight from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Dubuque will now arrive at CID. The flight will now depart MCO at 3:05 p.m. and arrive CID at 5:05 p.m.

Unfortunately, DBQ Airport was unable to secure the necessary Transportation Security Administration (TSA) approval of its airport security plan in time for our new service between DBQ and Orlando. This is why we have temporarily relocated our service to CID until DBQ secures the necessary TSA certification. It is unknown when the airport will receive its TSA certification and our service will commence at DBQ.

As a result, impacted Customers will receive a $100 Avelo Travel Fund credit for every traveler on their itinerary for use on future Avelo flights. If you prefer to reschedule your flight to a future date once we are flying from DBQ, you can rebook your trip at no extra cost or cancel for a full refund.

Please contact our Avelo Support Dubuque Hotline at (3‍46) 39‍8-75‍82 between 6‍am ET – Midnight ET if you have any questions. We will send your $100 Avelo Travel Fund credit(s) in an email from our Customer Support Crew.

While the airport’s regulatory approval delay was not our fault, we understand the inconvenience it has caused. We look forward to welcoming you aboard Avelo soon.
