BURBANK, Calif., and MEDFORD, Ore., May 9, 2021 — America’s first new mainline airline in nearly 15 years — Avelo Airlines — commences service today between Los Angeles and Southern Oregon. Avelo will fly nonstop between Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport (MFR) and Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) — offering a more convenient, stress-free travel experience. On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, flight XP111 departs BUR at 4:20 p.m., arriving MFR at 6:10 p.m. local time; flight XP112 departs MFR at 6:50 p.m., arriving BUR at 8:50 p.m. local time. On Sunday, flight XP111 departs BUR at 11:10 a.m. arriving MFR at 1:00 p.m. local time; flight XP112 departs MFR at 1:40 p.m., arriving BUR at 3:40 p.m.

The route will be served by 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft – one of the most fuel-efficient commercial aircraft in the world – providing Customers with a large, comfortable cabin with more room, more seats and more seating options than the regional aircraft typically serving the airports in Avelo’s network.
Medford is in the heart of Southern Oregon, where the “to do” list is never ending.
